Course Description:  The Orthodontic specialty has a long history of using leading-edge technology. Sometimes it can be hard to determine which technological advances to invest in to achieve your practice goals. Join Dr. Alvetro, a seasoned technology pioneer, at her practice to experience a hands-on opportunity with digital work flows. As a participant, you will observe digital work flows in action and be empowered to navigate, design and fabricate a digital flash-free bonding tray for a bonding appointment in your office.


Course Objectives:

•Create an action plan to integrate and implement a digital workflow.
•Experience hands-on learning with 3D printing, digital model set-up and placement of brackets into a flash-free bonding tray.
•Observe how to utilize team members to increase efficiency and enhance the patient’s experience.


Course Prerequisites:

To create an end to end process to implement a new digital work flow:

Own a scanner (Pre-course survey and scan must be submitted to attend the course)
Be willing to bring up to 2 staff members (ideally a clinical person to learn technique and a digital/ lab or tech person)
Pre-course survey to establish their expectations and level of experience
Submit a complete maxillary and mandibular arch scan with bite registration 1 week prior to course
Doctors will scan a patient that they intend to digitally bond maxillary and mandibular

                          Case selection:

Scan no more than 2 weeks prior to course and bond the week after the course
Patients should not have erupting teeth or loose deciduous teeth
Mild to moderate malocclusions  
If molars will not be bonded, separators for bands cannot be placed prior to bonding

Doctors will preselect a bracket type from the list of brackets to be provided
